A parking garage was recently the scene of a crime when a man in a pickup truck backed out towards the garage doors in Fort Worth, Texas and accidentally hit a man. The victim, who was intoxicated, was uncooperative when the driver approached him and offered to help. The driver then left but gave the security guard his contact information should he be needed. The guard called an ambulance which took the man to a hospital where it was discovered he had sustained a lacerated liver. Police say it was a complete accident and that poor lighting may have contributed to the mishap. Officials say they are urging the owners of the garage to contact garage door services in Fort Worth and install better lighting and surveillance equipment to prevent any similar events from occurring in the future.
