Local police recently had an exciting car chase that looked like something out of a movie. A man stole a vehicle and police, alerted to the crime, quickly pursued. As they were gaining on the man he suddenly jumped out of the moving car and started running away. Meanwhile the car rolled in a Greensboro home garage door and caused considerable damage. The police continued to pursue, eventually releasing a law enforcement dog that ran ahead of them. The dog finally caught the man who was later charged with robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle, speeding, and property damage. The home sustained major damage, the majority of which was to the garage, though local garage door services in Greensboro said it could be repaired.
