In the East loop section of downtown Chicago, investors who purchased four huge parking garages are finding the lots hard to fill. As a result, they’ve been considering new plans on how to convert the space into something more profitable. So far the leading idea is a data center – an underground facility that houses computer servers and other computer equipment. The owners say the garage doors in the Chicago, Illinois location are currently being renovated because they are leaky and unsecure. The garages contain more than 9,000 spaces and only see heavy use during special lakefront events. But with a 99-year lease, the investors want garage door services in Chicago to either quickly repair the doors and make them accessible again, or convert them into something more profitable.
