Police have issued a warning about garages and bicycles after five bikes were stolen, some from behind locked Santa Ana, California garage doors. Police say residents should register their bikes immediately after purchase and should buy a secure lock for the bike. In addition, police say residents should contact Santa Ana garage door services and have them inspect the lock on the garage door. According to the police, many people mistakenly assume their garage is a safe place to leave bicycles and other valuables. In reality, however, garages can be broken into easily and need to be properly secured by a professional.
