Comments: Uncomfortable with phone calls received.. I received a call at work from Roberto stating he was at my house and needed to install the door since he was available. He got my work number from my children b/c he wouldn't leave my home without speaking to me (they were uncomfortable). I told him I didn’t have his money at my house since I wasn’t expecting him and he said he would install the door and get the money the next day. When I got home Roberto was at my home and wanted his money. I gave him $400 of the $630 that I owed him and told him that is all the bank allows from the ATM in one day so I could give the balance the following day. He agreed to come back the next night at 6:30. I waited for him with his money but he never showed. At midnight I received a call from saying he was at my house and wanted his money. I told him my family was in bed and he shouldn’t be going to a customer’s home in the middle of the night. Roberto was very persistent he wanted his money . I told him he would need to come in the daytime. He said he would come back at noon and I agreed. At 6:45am Roberto called (waking me again) stating he wanted his money immediately. I asked him why he was calling so early again and that it was not appropriate and he just kept stating he wanted his money and I owed him money. I told him I have your money and he said I will drive you to the bank but I want my money now. Even when I said I have your money and had it yesterday when you never showed up he kept saying he was coming over and wanted his money. I woke up my husband and he went down stairs and asked Roberto clean out the mess he left in our yard and then I gave him his money. While the door is as described and appears to be in good working order the pushy phone calls were unprofessional and unappreciated.

Work Description: Repaired existing garage door opener.

Comments: After checking the unit, said he could fix for $200 or $300 installing all new parts. We compared the price with a new one & decided to fix for $200 cash to eliminate sales tax. Said it is guaranteed for 3 months. Was" on the job"for 1 hour. I thought the price for what he did was excessive.

Work Description: Replace 16' wide wooden garage door with steel and vinyl door, with electric opener.

Comments: This contractor is a true craftsman. He called 5 minutes after I posted the free quote information and showed up the next day for a site visit. He showed me catalogs and recommendations. He was also $700 cheaper than the other contractor who quoted an estimate over the phone!!! Two weeks later he was here installing the door, and what a job he did, by himself; worked all day, with no breaks and the door looked great and worked fantastic. He cleaned up all debris and removed the old door from my property. I would HIGHLY recommend this contractor. A true craftsman and a gentleman .
